Restful Intentions

If you’ve never experienced an infrared sauna session before you don’t know what you’re missing! The benefits of infrared technology go far beyond weight loss and detox through sweating. Saunas can also be a great supplement to exercise in helping the body run smoothly by making you sweat. (If you don't sweat the first few times in the sauna, don't panic, not everyone has the same response.)

Infrared saunas allow you to relax, relieve unwanted pain, increase circulation and purify your skin. Best of all, since the heat created is radiant heat, it reduces that hot air sensation you get in a normal sauna and is a great alternative for those who don’t like steam.

Infrared Sauna Therapy utilizes different infrared wavelengths to provide varying health benefits.

  • Red/Near-infrared (blended Red & NIR) blended red and near-infrared light in a quiet, unintrusive, comfortable experience. Addressing skin concerns, boosting collagen production, combatting inflammation, relieving pain, and promoting overall well-being deliver transformative effects. The LED panels are integrated into the walls and smart technology to give you the enhanced synergy of red light therapy and deeper penetrating near-infrared. It's a holistic reset. NIR is the shortest wavelength but penetrates the deepest. It has the distinct property that it is not captured by the water of the body allowing it to penetrate the deepest into the body and very effectively heat your body core.  It also does not cause the “resonant frequency” associated with far infrared so using near-infrared alone is not the best way to detoxify. Near-infrared is associated with photobiomodulation which directly produces energy within the cells through ATP stimulation. Not surprisingly, near-infrared helps wound healing and increases cellular repair. Learn more about red light therapy from Dr. Andrew Huberman at the Neural Network.

  • Mid-infrared (MIR) wavelengths are also captured by water molecules while increasing circulation through vasodilation, bringing oxygen to areas needing healing, increasing heart rate and overall metabolism.

  • Far-infrared (FIR) is the closest to the wavelengths of heat given off by our own body. Far infrared is readily captured by the water molecules in the body and releasing its energy. Our bodies actually give off far-infrared wavelengths at about 9.4 microns. Since far-infrared wavelengths feel very natural and normal to us, our energy is enhanced and strengthened.

What to Expect

Our sauna room is private so feel free to undress to your comfort level (we do suggest in the buff, just take a towel in with you). Infrared energy easily penetrates bare skin and our customizable sauna includes Red light, near-, mid-, and far-infrared wavelengths.  Our large sauna can be booked for yourself or with a friend or two, the choice is yours.

Your sauna session can be 15- or 30-minutes in length.  We suggest 15-minutes for your first visit. We advise you not to shower after the treatment in order to reap the full therapeutic value, which continues for up to two hours after the infrared sauna session. We provide cold water & cold towels to freshen up and give you a YUNI Beauty Body Wipe as well. You'll feel refreshed and relaxed.

If you would like to complete other therapy sessions during your visit we recommend the following order:  Halotherapy, Floatation, IR Sauna (or Contrast Therapy)
